Christina M. Chevrier, 31, of 123 Belmont Courts, Ogdensburg, was charged Thursday with third-degree attempted grand larceny, a class E felony, according to state police.

An investigator said Ms. Chevrier attempted to steal four laptop personal computers and two Dell laptop computers on Aug. 21 at Wal-Mart, Route 3, town of Watertown. The value of the computers was listed as approximately $4,952.19, police said.

Brownville Town Justice Richard C. Parker sent her to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, under $1,000 cash bail pending grand jury action.

The investigation is continuing and further arrests are pending, police said
