Flickr let me change my registered email address. That was a couple of weeks ago.

Just yesterday, I noticed Flickr wasn't allowing uploads from Mobog anymore. I logged into Flickr to look into it. I was greeted with an error message stating that there were TWO Flickr accounts registered with the same email address: Mobog's Flickr account, and my personal Flickr account.

Anyway, Flickr said I couldn't login until I changed the email address of the Mobog account to something new. So I did that. And then discovered that this process had totally deleted Mobog's Flickr account. So I had to make a new one.

This is probably a bug with Flickr. They shouldn’t have deleted the account, especially since I was paying for it. But I won't fault them for it because otherwise their service works amazingly great and I love them.

I'm sorry this all happened. Oddly, it seems that pics from the old Mobog Flickr account (pre-July 21, 2008) are slowly disappearing, more and more every day.

Mobog's new Flickr account is registered with a unique email address, so I don't foresee any other problems like this.

The site has been great and a lot of fun and I'm sure it will continue on and the sour pusses can go somewhere else.

But I never seen such good sites wich crashed and lose all content in one day! To more surprisingly, that is american site! I always thought that most made in America must be reliable! That is why I was surprised, angry and disappointed!

So how do we delete the unavailable pics? Tried to delete them but they wouldn't. :(

you may have noticed this if you tried to reset your background image to an old picture, only to have your background still show Flickr's "photo not available" pic.

I don't understand why people are getting upset. The only thing that happened is that a mistake was made and pictures were lost. No big deal to most?

Alot of people are worried about this site going down but I guess we have no control over what happens here or on any other site.
