We're pretty much completely reinventing the downstairs first. Once the floor is in, we'll paint.

I wanted to paint before I installed the floors, but it just isn't going to turn out that way. Oh well.

you REALLY should paint first... you can be as messy as you want to be w/o worrying about getting paint on your new floors. Do it. Do it. Do it.
